Dupla Design

Dupla Design has been working in major events of the so-called “Olympic world” since 2003. It all started with the 360-degree branding for the Rio 2007 Pan and Parapan-American Games.

After that, in 2009, we became the Design Agency of the Brazilian Olympic Committee, and for four years we engaged in all sorts of projects related to sports. At the same time, we were responsible for the Communication, Look, and Design of the Rio bid to host the 2016 Games.

With these projects, we have acquired a unique expertise and background and developed a distinctive methodology.

In 2010, Ney Valle and Claudia Gamboa [partners in Dupla Design] were invited to join the Rio 2016 Organizing Committee, taking over the creative direction of the Rio 2016 Design Program, which included the Look of the Games project.

Throughout six years they managed a 24 people team, coordinated third party services, created contest briefings, and much more. During that period, they conceptualized, developed, coordinated, and brought to life one of the most complete and complex Design Programs in the world.
